How do I tell if I have 2 different anti-virus programs interfering with each other?

I have Windows Defender, Verizon Anti-virus(now sponsored by McAfee), and recently downloaded Advanced System Care. Im not sure if any of them interfere with each other or even if Advanced System Care is even an Anti-Virus software.
How can I tell what is an Anti-Virus software and if they are messing each other up because I hear its really bad to have 2 Anti-Virus softwares installed at the same time.
